Dynamic Stretching

The objective of this Information Design project was to demonstrate how to perform an action in 10 steps.  I chose to focus on dynamic style stretching before excersize.  The poster was displayed in the Creative Corridor of RPI in the Fall of 2016

Concept

Dynamic stretching is a practice that is often ignored in private exercise routines despite research that shows its immense benefits.  Recent studies show that active, dynamic warm-up routines can improve running performance.  The research compared performance when sitting before a run and when moving before a run.  The runners who performed active stretches increased running time by an average running time by just over two minutes.  The routine outlined in this piece is derived from the research in the study.
